DIG Shrikant Naidu assembles a five-person police team to escort Dr. Iqbal Ansari from Chandangarh to Mumbai. The objective is to move him safely while countering threats from those who would falsely label him a terrorist. It is planned as a high-stakes mission with a clear rescue-and-clear mandate.

Aangre, a corrupt ex-cop, tracks the team’s movements and repeatedly attempts to foil the operation. He stays a step ahead as the convoy advances toward Chandangarh. His interference sets the tension for the journey ahead.

In Chandangarh, schoolteacher Mahalakshmi informs the team that suspected terrorists are staying incognito in her school premises. Her disclosure prompts the team to proceed with heightened caution. The information becomes a key plot point as they move forward.

With Ansari and Mahalakshmi, the team begins the road journey to Mumbai. They remain vigilant for ambushes as they advance along the highway. The situation remains precarious with Aangre's looming threat.

En route, the bus or van breaks down, forcing the team to halt at a secluded bungalow. Anant calls Naidu to request additional police support. The pause gives the antagonists a new opportunity to close in.

Inside the bungalow, Aangre and his men launch an assault. Shekhar tries to surrender Ansari, but Anant objects to any capitulation. Ansari then explains that the riots were engineered and that he was framed; Bhaskar Joshi’s file was meant to expose Minister Deodhar, and the corrupt cops aligned against him.

Anant’s team triggers an explosion to break free from the ambush, enabling a chaotic escape. In the melee, Aangre manages to shoot Ansari, gravely wounding him. The mission’s first casualty underscores the stakes of their pursuit.

Ansari is rushed to the hospital for treatment while Anant realizes Naidu is in league with Deodhar. Despite the setback, the team resolves to persevere in their mission to clear Ansari’s name. The discovery reshapes their resolve and strategy.

The team devises a risky plan to transport the recovering Ansari by an empty train to Mumbai. Kamlesh drives the van as a decoy, while Shekhar takes control of the train to ensure a safe arrival. The plan hinges on perfect timing and split-second decisions.

Kamlesh abandons the decoy van and attempts to catch the moving train but is shot dead by Aangre. Despite the loss, the team manages to reach Mumbai with Ansari. The city’s landscape becomes the backdrop for the final confrontation.

Upon arrival in Mumbai, Ansari dies, prompting the team to perform a proper burial and vow to clear his name. Deodhar tries to coerce Anant to toe the line, but Anant remains steadfast. The case shifts from pursuit to pursuit-and-prosecution.

The team locates the crucial file with help from journalist Bhaskar’s son. They proceed to Mumbai’s General Post Office (GPO) to recover the file, laying the groundwork for exposing the conspirators. This retrieval becomes the linchpin for the impending legal action.

In a stadium trap, Mahalakshmi is revealed to be Aangre’s girlfriend and a planted double agent. Shekhar is lured into the ambush and is shot; before dying, he quietly alerts Anant that Mahalakshmi is compromised. The betrayal catalyzes the next phase of the pursuit.

Anant and Ashwin intensify the pursuit, cornering Naidu and Aangre. Aangre uses Mahalakshmi as a shield, and she dies in the crossfire. Ashwin shoots him and recovers the crucial file as the chase closes in on the fugitive.

With damning evidence from the file, the court convicts Aangre, Deodhar, and Naidu for life. On the way to jail, Aangre attempts a last escape but is fatally wounded by Ashwin; the payback seals the end of the conspiracy and rights the wrongs against Ansari.
