In 1982 Brooklyn, young Charlie Carbone faces a dangerous situation when Frankie Lombardo attempts to drown him. Fortunately, he is saved by a brave boy named Louis Booker, sparking a deep and lasting friendship between the two.

Fast forward to 2002, and Charlie now runs his own beauty salon, but life isn’t easy. Sal's henchmen are taking a large portion of his profits, leaving him struggling to keep his business afloat.

After a botched job involving stolen TVs that brings attention from the police, Sal gives Charlie and Louis a crucial assignment. Under Frankie’s orders, they must deliver a mysterious package to Mr. Smith in Coober Pedy, Australia, with strict instructions not to open it.

During their flight, curiosity gets the better of Louis as he opens the package and discovers $50,000 in cash. This unexpected windfall marks the beginning of a chaotic adventure as they land in Australia.

Upon arriving in Australia, Louis accidentally hits a red kangaroo, leading them to mistakenly believe it is dead. They dress it in Louis's lucky jacket for a humorous photo opportunity, only to have the kangaroo spring back to life and steal their money.

At an Alice Springs pub, Louis attempts to explain their unforeseen predicament to Mr. Smith. However, Mr. Smith responds with threats, insisting they have the cash ready for him, raising the tension of the situation.

Back in New York, Sal learns about the delay caused by Charlie and Louis. In a fit of frustration, he dispatches Frankie to track them down, increasing the stakes and danger for the duo.

Desperate to recover the money taken by the kangaroo, Charlie and Louis devise a wild plan involving tranquilizer darts. However, this scheme backfires, leaving them lost and stranded in the desert.

While stuck in the desert, they encounter Jessie, who works with the Outback Wildlife Foundation. She agrees to assist them in exchange for a grant, sparking Charlie's interest in her despite mixed signals from her.

Their journey takes a dark turn when Mr. Smith and his men capture them. However, with quick thinking, Charlie and Louis manage to turn the tables during a tense showdown with Frankie, leading to a thrilling escape.

As the situation escalates, the police arrive just in time to apprehend Frankie and Mr. Smith, unraveling the criminals' plans. This timely intervention saves Charlie and Louis from dire consequences.

After the chaos, Charlie and Louis reclaim the lucky jacket from the kangaroo, solidifying the bond of friendship that has grown between them. This jacket symbolizes their daring adventure and the hurdles they have overcome.

In the aftermath of their escapades, we fast-forward a year to find Charlie happily married to Jessie. Together, they have successfully launched a new line of hair care products featuring a quirky kangaroo logo.
