Jungle Emperor Leo

Leo learns that Lyra has just given birth to twins, Lune and Lukio, marking a rare moment of joy in the jungle. A grand celebration follows before the world outside soon intrudes.

In the city, Ham Egg hunts jewellers for the Moonlight Stone, unaware of the danger his greed attracts. After being rejected at every shop, he is hauled away by intimidating men in black suits who imply a darker purpose for the stone.

Dr. Plus and Dr. Minus reveal the Moonlight Stone could power the world and recruit Ham Egg to lead them to its source. Ham Egg agrees only if he can command the search, and he is joined by Mr. Lemonade and Dr. Moustache.

Dr. Moustache and Mr. Lemonade arrive in the jungle and are shocked by Ham Egg and his 'friends' who show little regard for animals. Moustache argues for respecting nature, while Lemonade records the events for posterity.

Earth Mother, the benevolent mammoth elder from Mount Moon, encourages Lune to explore beyond the jungle and to face the human world. She instills hope and gives him courage to keep seeking a wiser path.

Lune slips away on a log and drifts toward a distant city along the river. Fishermen find him and bring him to a circus, where a new world begins to unfold.

An altruistic girl named Mary in the circus decides to care for Lune, and he befriends a rat named Jack. Mary’s kindness helps him navigate this unfamiliar human world.

A stork from the jungle finds Lune and warns that a deadly disease is killing many animals. She leaves with her flock, leaving Lune worried about his family and home.

A fire breaks out in the circus, and Lune helps rally the other animals to fight it. After the danger passes, he slips onto a boat headed back toward Africa, bidding farewell to his new friends.

Back in the jungle, Lyra succumbs to the deadly disease that threatens her kin. Lukio falls ill as well, but Dr. Moustache manages to cure her and others, showing a turn toward possible friendship between humans and animals.

Leo guides Dr. Moustache and Dr. Lemonade toward the center of the mountain where moonlight stones lie, with Earth Mother guiding them and helping them fight a pack of dire wolves. The journey is perilous and many hunters are lost along the way.

Ham Egg shoots at the trio as they arrive. Mr. Lemonade sacrifices himself by throwing himself in front of the shot to save Leo. Ham Egg swallows a Moonlight Stone to keep it from others, and dies soon after from the poison. Dr. Moustache helps Leo escape, and he discovers that Leo has begun to go blind.

On the descent, Leo dies after stabbing himself with Dr. Moustache's knife so the doctor can eat his flesh and wear his fur to tell humans what they need to know. The act seals a brutal but hopeful message: sacrifice can guide humanity to better choices.

Lune returns from the human world, and Dr. Moustache takes the cub to see Leo's pelt. Moustache explains Leo's wisdom and bravery, placing his sacrifice at the heart of their mission. They walk toward a meadow and glimpse clouds shaped like Leo.
