Jim Yam, a Hong Kong gang boss, has risen near the top of the underworld but finds little satisfaction. As peers die—often of ordinary causes—he presses on, feeling the burden of leadership. Flashbacks to his London petty‑thief days contrast his lavish yet empty present and show how little he truly knows about his closest allies.
