Immortal

In late 21st century New York, genetically altered humans and aliens live side by side under a fragile order. Refugees arrive through a mysterious vortex called the inclusion zone that seals off Central Park. The force field lets the refugees exit but kills anyone trying to enter.

A pyramid appears hovering over the city. Inside, the gods of ancient Egypt discuss Horus and decide to punish him for his rebellion. They grant him seven days to look upon his creation and warn that the only way to save himself is to reincarnate in a new body.

To survive, Horus must find a mortal woman who can bear his child. The gods declare this is the only path to avoid execution. The countdown begins as the city carries on with its strange refugees and corrupt power.

Jill is captured by the eugenics corporation that runs much of the government and private sector. They seize the alien refugees for experiments. Jill appears human, but her biology is engineered to give her paranormal abilities.

Scientists learn that Jill's cells are only about three months old despite her adult appearance. Her human like genome is rapidly adapting, which will eventually erase memories of her former self. This strange biology hints at her engineered origin.

Dr. Elma Turner becomes fascinated by Jill and helps her escape. She forms a compassionate alliance that challenges the corporation. Her actions set in motion Jill's chances of survival.

Horus begins the search for a mortal host who can bear his child. He discovers that many humans have altered genetics and cannot host a god. The search moves through the city as time runs out.

Nikopol has been in cryo prison for decades when a mechanical accident causes the prison wall to crumble. He escapes one year early and is available as a host for Horus. Horus occupies the escapee body, starting their uneasy alliance.

Horus inhabits Nikopol's body but cannot fully control it and the two constantly clash. The two form a reluctant partnership as they pursue the god plan. Nikopol resists the mortality of a god living in his body.

The duo finds Jill and Horus, in Nikopol's body, begins to seduce her. Nikopol objects, seeing this as sexual assault, while Horus believes it is necessary for the plan. Jill becomes a focal point around which loyalties and dangers collide.

A police inspector investigates a string of killings in which bodies appear torn from within. The victims are the shapes of Horus failed hosts and of Nikopol, making both suspects. The pursuit intensifies as Jill becomes entangled in the case.

At the last moment Horus impregnates Jill with his child through Nikopol. Horus then hands back control to Nikopol and grants him back the ability to move the heavy metal leg. The balance of power shifts as the clock continues to tick.

A year passes and Jill, now fully human, meets Nikopol again in Paris with a blue falcon child she calls cheeky. She does not remember Nikopol, but their conversation hints at a possible future romance.

The camera pans to the pyramid ship where Horus lies entombed in a sarcophagus. A glimmer of light flickers in his eyes, suggesting that a spark of his power persists. The world remains altered as the credits roll.
