In the late 21st century New York City becomes a neon-drenched metropolis where genetically altered humans live among refugees from other beings behind a lethal forcefield around Central Park's inclusion zone. The city is controlled by an all-powerful eugenics company that dominates government and industry and keeps refugees under tight surveillance. A hovering pyramid above the city signals a mythic dimension as ancient Egyptian gods observe modern life.

The film centers on how a single corporation wields political and social power, exploiting refugees and controlling life-and-death decisions. Horus’ quest to regain immortality pits divine authority against human institutions. Characters such as Jill and Elma navigate moral compromises within this surveillance-driven, exploitative system.
