Nora enters Voight’s old room, finds the puzzle box, and is captured by him. Voight, now a damaged Cenobite, stabs her with the box, resulting in her being taken by the Cenobites. Her terror underscores the deadly power of the puzzle artifact.

As the Cenobites pursue Riley and her allies, she attempts to destroy the puzzle box. During the chase, she cuts her hand to sacrifice herself, and fights off the monsters with the box’s power. This battle emphasizes the survival fight and the stakes involved.

Voight, seeking eternal pain, allows himself to be impaled by the hooks, transforming into a Cenobite as his body is broken. His desire for suffering concludes with his complete transformation, reinforcing the theme of pain as a twisted form of eternity.

Riley chooses to reject the Cenobites’ offer to resurrect Matt and escapes the mansion, leaving behind the cursed puzzle box. Her decision reflects her rejection of the endless suffering and temptation, though she remains haunted by the events.

Pinhead and the Cenobites finish punishing Voight, impaling him and revealing his suffering was rewarded with the gift of 'power,' which ultimately torments him eternally. The film concludes with Riley and Colin contemplating the cost of their choices, leaving a sense of unresolved darkness.
