A car salesman travels to France and meets a solitary woman, whom he quickly romances, only to discover she is married to a liberal baron. The baron, comfortable with open relationships, hires the Englishman to teach his son automobiles. As the salesman falls for the baron’s wife, the baron remains untroubled, pursuing his own affairs.
