During a present-day asteroid excavation, the crew uncovers a glowing green crystal known as the key. The crystal radiates a dangerous lure linked to a legendary fountain that grants immortality. The discovery hints at an ancient Arakacian empire and the power they wielded.

Tyler touches the key and immediately descends into madness, his appearance growing wild as he becomes fearsome. He kills his mining partner and seizes control of the ship. His obsession with the fountain world drives his every decision from then on.

Driven by the key's influence, Tyler searches for Eden, the planet said to hold the water of life. He ruthlessly hunts and eliminates obstacles to secure the route and the immortality fluids. The crew's fate hangs in the balance as the mission escalates.

Tyler invades Eden and massacres many Edenites, capturing a few to extract immortality fluids from their bodies. Kerrie, the attractive schoolteacher, is kept alive for his purposes while Germain resists the plan and is left behind. The brutal conquest marks a turning point in the pursuit of power.

Julie, Kerrie's warrior sister, survives the Eden assault and teams with Germain to pursue Tyler. They press on despite Tyler's predatory tactics and flirtations, determined to prevent the key's power from falling into the wrong hands.

At a renegade space station, a sex robot distracts Germain while Julie tracks Tyler to a nightclub. She wounds him critically, but he swallows a vial of immortality serum and instantly heals. The gunfight culminates in the club's explosive destruction.

Julie and Germain board a shuttle that latches onto Tyler's ship. In a tense mid-flight dogfight, the two vessels collide and crash, scattering their crew across space.

Julie wakes up on Uroboris, a desert planet, and meets Odin, a cloaked sage, and Zeek, a rock-like assistant. The two are guardians of the ancient fountain and reveal that their decades-long watch has prepared for the coming confrontation with Tyler.

With his ship wrecked, Tyler orders Dr. Schechter to extract Kerrie's immortality fluids. While exploring Uroboris, he encounters a race of reptilian beings and conquers them by defeating their champion and their leader in a deadly duel. The power struggle escalates as he edges closer to the fountain.

Julie infiltrates the reptilian city disguised as a suitable mate for Tyler, seduces him, and tries to kill him. Zeek stops the attempt and captures her, returning her to Odin for interrogation.

Julie returns to Tyler's ship to rescue Kerrie, frees her, and they escape as the complex explodes behind them. They ride a fleeing craft, pursued by Tyler's remaining forces, while the battle continues elsewhere.

Back at the citadel, Julie undergoes a ritual bath that grants her armor and a revealing battle attire. Julie, Kerrie, and Germain join the fountain's guardians to defend against Tyler's advancing army.

Lambert sustains a near-fatal injury in the final battle and reaches for Tyler's last vial, accidentally breaking it on the ground. Enraged, Tyler executes Lambert and doubles down on his assault toward the immortality pit.

Tyler reaches the immortality pit and is about to insert the crystal into the final lock. Julie interrupts with a stabbing blow to his left eye, triggering a brutal fight in which Odin's aid helps Julie to defeat Tyler.

Odin reveals himself as the last Arakacian, intent on reclaiming the fountain and rebuilding an empire. Zeek pulls the crystal key from the pedestal, locks Odin in the fountain chamber, and becomes a new asteroid to hide the key for all time, while Germain and Kerrie help Julie to her feet as order returns.
