Heaven’s Lost Property the Movie: The Angeloid of Clockwork

The film opens with Tomoki and the New World Discovery Club witnessing a giant chicken rampage in Sorami City. Ikaros uses a card from Saori Hayami to help Sohara grow into giant size and fight the fowl. The fight ends with the chicken defeated, but Tomoki is unintentionally stepped on when he stares up Ikaros's skirt.

Kazane Hiyori introduces herself on Earth and recounts how she met and fell in love with Tomoki, weaving memories from the previous seasons into her narration. She quietly observes Tomoki and his friends, slowly growing closer to them. Her presence unsettles some members who remember past events differently.

Hiyori asks to join the New World Discovery Club. Sugata is wary, recalling a Synapse-inspired Angel that resembles Hiyori, and isn’t fully trusting the club’s reality. Mikako argues that adding Hiyori would help the budget, and Sugata eventually relents.

Tomoki subjects Hiyori to playful—and sometimes lecherous—initiation tests to make her quit, testing her resolve and humor. She endures the embarrassment and completes them, and her feelings for Tomoki remain unchanged. The initiation marks a turning point in her integration with the group.

As Hiyori becomes closer to Tomoki, Sohara, Nymph, and Astraea suspect they are dating. Mikako hints that Tomoki might be using Hiyori for blackmail, heightening distrust. The club members quarrel until Hiyori overhears and steps in to clear the air.

On the way to meet Tomoki, Hiyori is hit by a truck and dies; her body vanishes and her existence is erased from most memories. Sugata rushes to the Angels in pods, while the Master of the Synapse taunts him with the truth of forgotten memories. Tomoki remains unaware of the full scope as memory-disturbing headaches begin.

The next morning, Tomoki still remembers Hiyori, but everyone else has forgotten. He searches Sorami City in distress, while Ikaros, Nymph, and Astraea experience the widening rift of reality as memory-headaches worsen.

Tomoki learns that the others cannot reveal everything to avoid shattering his reality, while Ikaros and Nymph locate Hiyori via radar. The reunion is interrupted when Hiyori is transformed into an Angeloid and ordered by the Master to kill the trio. She uses time-manipulation to attack Sorami City.

The trio struggle to stop Hiyori as the dimensional mechanism that powers her time abilities approaches a breaking point. They damage the binding structure around Hiyori, but cannot fully free her. Ikaros containment briefly traps Hiyori in the Aegis, and Tomoki arrives to rescue her.

With the blast looming, Hiyori uses her hacking abilities to dispel the Aegis and kisses Tomoki before departing. She thanks him for their time together, remembering their first meeting and reaffirming her love for Tomoki. Hiyori is destroyed as she returns to the Synapse, leaving Tomoki in tears and vowing never to forget.

Near the end of the credits, Sohara glances at a scrapbook filled with scenes of the group having fun, hinting that Hiyori's memory may be fading and then reviving. A subtle page suggests Hiyori has reappeared in some form. The visuals set up a possibility of revival beyond the film’s events.

In a post-credits moment, Tomoki stands at the overlook where he first met Hiyori as a ray of light and feathers drift down. The familiar sound of Hiyori's bell ornaments returns, implying that she may have been revived or restored to him in some way, leaving a hopeful note.
