In a near‑future France torn by revolt, right‑wing politician Philippe Muphand readies to take power. His lover Caroline announces she will marry the first fool she meets, choosing professor Serge Laine, celebrated author of “Le voyage qui ne finit pas.” While heading to Barcelona for a second honeymoon and a university lecture, Serge is seduced, abandons his wife, career and morals for Caroline, Jack‑London‑style romance, and murder.
