Florentine, a young, beautiful woman yearning for love, feels abandoned by her impotent husband Jake. Seeking affection, she engages in brief, passionate affairs and meets Dorothy, unaware that Dorothy is Jake’s covert accomplice. As Jake watches from hidden darkrooms and two‑way mirrors, his arousal returns, and he begins to desire his wife anew. With the help of their adopted son, Florentine uncovers Jake’s secret world of distorted fantasy and must decide how to act, realizing that Jake still loves her.
