In 1816 the literary circle of Lord Byron, Percy Shelley, Mary Shelley and Claire Clairmont gathers at the remote Villa Diodati on Lake Geneva. Their philosophical talks devolve into mind‑games, drugs and sexual tension, and they launch a horror‑story contest that inspires Mary’s Frankenstein, while a tangled love triangle explores the extremes of passion and evil.
