Happy Birthday to Me

At Crawford Academy in Massachusetts, life takes a dark turn for Bernadette, portrayed by Lesleh Donaldson, as she leaves her night classes to meet friends. After a tense encounter with the strict headmistress, Mrs. Patterson, played by Frances Hyland, she is attacked in her car by a mysterious figure clad in black gloves. Feigning death momentarily, Bernadette manages to escape but not before the attacker tragically slashes her throat with a straight razor.

Later that night, at a nearby inn, a group of students including Virginia, portrayed by Melissa Sue Anderson, gather and wonder about her lateness. Tension escalates when Alfred, an unsettling taxidermist played by Jack Blum, joins them. The carefree atmosphere shifts again when Rudi, played by David Eisner, enrages local residents with a prank involving Alfred’s pet mouse, leading the friends to a risky decision to drive over a rising drawbridge.

Virginia’s ghostly connection to her late mother becomes evident as she visits her grave. Bregman, make a shocking discovery at Alfred’s house, leading them to confront a chilling reality about Bernadette’s disappearance.
