Grave Robbers

In an Inquisition-era church, the executioner renounces God and pledges allegiance to Satan. He attempts to rape a virginal woman to impregnate her with the Antichrist, but is captured and tortured by other clergy. He defies them and is hacked in the chest by the archbishop, while prophesying that someone will later rise to wield power over Satan's son.

Centuries after the church tragedy, Olivia Lopez, a virginal descendant of the archbishop, camps with three friends near a cemetery. Grave robbers break in and uncover a shaft that leads to a ruined church basement, where they discover treasure and the tomb of the executioner. Manolo pulls the ax from the executioner’s chest, unknowingly waking the dormant evil.

As the group tries to leave with their loot, their pickup gets stuck in the mud and two peasants, Pablo and Toño, arrive to help. The revived executioner reclaims the ax and kills the peasants, blaming the grave robbers for their deaths. The assault signals that the ancient evil is active again.

Captain Lopez, Olivia's father, is alerted to the deaths and quickly blames the grave robbers for Pablo and Toño's killings. The four friends plead their innocence and ask him to investigate the tomb where the ax and the executioner’s tomb were found. The mystery deepens as more bodies appear.

Lopez confirms that the killer remains active when two more people are murdered, forcing him to drop everything to warn Olivia and her fiancé Raul. He hurries into the wilderness to reach Olivia before the killer does. The impending danger grows as the threat shifts from human to supernatural.

The executioner taps into supernatural powers to attack Father Jerónimo and murders Armando and Jorge with brutal force. He then materializes to butcher Andrea and Diana, displaying an otherworldly ferocity. Olivia’s safety hangs in the balance as the evil advances.

The enraged killer murders Olivia's bodyguard and abducts her from the scene. Father Jerónimo quickly clarifies the stakes and warns Lopez that Satan empowers the villain. The rescue mission must be swift and decisive.
