Good Will Hunting

Will Hunting lives a modest life as a janitor at MIT, despite possessing extraordinary intelligence. Residing in a struggling neighborhood in South Boston, he grapples with the aftereffects of a traumatic childhood filled with abuse, which impacts both his career and personal relationships.

During his first week at MIT, Will solves a difficult graduate-level math problem left on a chalkboard by Professor Gerald Lambeau. His remarkable achievement generates a buzz throughout the MIT community, stirring curiosity about the identity of this anonymous problem-solver.

While dealing with personal turmoil, Will encounters a childhood bully that leads to a physical altercation. The situation escalates when a police officer intervenes, resulting in Will's arrest, further complicating his life circumstances.

At Will's trial, Professor Lambeau recognizes his genius potential and offers him an ultimatum: serve jail time or work under his mentorship, which includes intensive mathematics study and therapy. Will reluctantly decides to accept Lambeau's guidance, although he is skeptical about the therapeutic aspect.
