G.I. Joe: The Movie

Pythona infiltrates the Terror Drome and reveals Cobra-La's influence on Cobra's future. She explains that Cobra-La inspired Doctor Mindbender to create Serpentor through dream manipulation. At her urging, Serpentor begins plans to capture G.I. Joe's latest weapon, the Broadcast Energy Transmitter (BET).

The Cobra forces assault the Joes as they test the BET in the Himalayas. The Joes activate their automated weapons systems using the BET, turning the battlefield into a high-tech trap. The attack signals Cobra-La's looming plan and raises the stakes for the heroes.

During the Himalayan battle, Serpentor is captured by the Joes. Cobra Commander orders a tactical retreat to regroup and reassess. The retreat temporarily halts Cobra's momentum and shifts the focus toward Cobra-La.

In Cobra-La, Cobra-La soldiers ambush seven Joes and detain them in the Lovecraftian underground environment. Golobulus, with Pythona and Nemesis Enforcer, arrests Cobra Commander, asserting Cobra-La's authority. The scene introduces Cobra-La's hidden civilization and its long-standing feud with humanity.

Golobulus recounts Cobra-La's ancient history: a prehistoric civilization that survived the Ice Age and retreated into caverns beneath the Himalayas. He vows to destroy humanity so Cobra-La can reclaim Earth. He reveals that the nobleman who studied biological weapons became Cobra Commander, and that Mindbender's psychic manipulation created Serpentor.

Zarana uses Falcon to infiltrate Serpentor's holding cell, while Falcon is posted by Duke as punishment. Falcon abandons his post to flirt with Jinx, allowing the Dreadnoks and Nemesis Enforcer to free Serpentor. Alpine, Bazooka and Gung-Ho are wounded in the ensuing chaos.

General Hawk scolds Falcon for dereliction of duty and confines him to his quarters pending court-martial. The reprimand underscores the Joes' need for discipline as the Cobra-La threat grows. Falcon faces punishment but remains determined to redeem himself.

In Cobra-La, Cobra Commander is tried for his failures as Golobulus reveals plans to launch spore pods into space. The spores would hatch via the BET, dooming humanity. As punishment, Cobra Commander is exposed to the spores and transformed into a snake; he flees toward the Joes' camp with Roadblock.

Duke convinces General Hawk to spare Falcon from harsher punishment. Hawk reassigns Falcon to retraining with Sgt. Slaughter's Renegades, joined by Mercer, Red Dog and Taurus. The team prepares for reconnaissance and to counter Cobra-La's threat.

On a weaponless recon mission in the Terror Drome, the team learns Cobra's plans and that the Baroness has found the BET's location. As Falcon and the others destroy the Terror Drome, Cobra launches an assault on the Joes. The BET is stolen, forcing a rapid shift in the battle's dynamics.

Serpentor attempts to kill Falcon during the battle, but Duke intervenes and is knocked into a coma. The Joes rally around their wounded leader and redouble their efforts to stop Cobra-La. Falcon vows to continue the mission despite the setback.

Falcon, the Renegades and the new recruits head to the Himalayas to stop Cobra-La. Guided by Cobra Commander, they are led to Cobra-La's lair and begin rescuing their captured teammates. The new recruits prove their mettle and contribute to the mission's progress.

The Joes confront Golobulus, Pythona and Serpentor in Cobra-La's lair. Jinx and Sgt. Slaughter strike decisive blows, sending Pythona and Nemesis Enforcer to apparent demise. The team fights to reclaim control of the BET and safeguard humanity.

Falcon reconfigures the BET to incinerate the mutative spores in space, destroying Cobra-La. The battle ends with Cobra-La's defeat and humanity saved. Immediately afterward, Duke comes out of his coma and begins to recover.

With Duke recovering, the Joes regroup and reaffirm their commitment to defend the world against future threats. The team reflects on the ordeal and resolves to stand united against any new danger. The film closes on a note of renewed resolve for the team.
