After a woman loses her son to a malevolent conspiracy and takes her own life, a vengeful bakeneko—a supernatural cat—appears to torment the conspirators. The film marks Takako Irie’s debut in the bakeneko genre and launched a highly popular Daiei series of ghost‑cat movies in Japan.
