Garfield’s Feline Fantasies

Garfield imagines himself as a submarine captain with Pooky as his commanding officer. When his alarm clock rings, the dream continues and he fires a torpedo, smashing the clock.

Garfield shifts into a cowboy fantasy as he greets Odie in the morning. The scene uses Western bravado to transition from the submarine dream.

Garfield conjures a magician fantasy to wake Jon and make breakfast, with Odie joining the act. The magical morning adds whimsy to the waking world.

They test the safety theory by entering a jet-pilot fantasy with faulty engines. Jon saves them from crashing, reinforcing the idea that their adventures aren’t truly dangerous.

They climb into the refrigerator and slip into another fantasy world. The transition marks a move from the jet dream to a globe-trotting caper.

In the fantasy, Garfield is Lance Sterling and Odie is Slobberjob, his bodyguard. They travel to Istanbul and encounter Fat Guy and his henchman Rameet who pursue them.

Lance Sterling insults Fat Guy before agreeing to unite their halves of the holy ankh. He steals Fat Guy's half of the ankh and escapes with Slobberjob.

A woman named Nadia distracts Fat Guy's henchmen to aid the escape. Lance Sterling tells her they don’t need help and tells her to leave.

Sterling and Slobberjob fuse the ankh halves with a supercomputer and discover the map points to a clue about the Banana's true location rather than the Banana itself.

They travel to Paris and Nadia reappears after a humorous misunderstanding with a French waiter. She warns that Fat Guy and Rameet are tracking them.

Slobberjob confronts Rameet; during the skirmish he’s knocked onto an awning and discovers a map to the Banana’s location.

The duo reach the Amazon rainforest and enter a temple where the Banana sits on a pillar in lava. Nadia reveals she is Moldavian and that the government wants the Banana to boost tourism.

Fat Guy and Rameet seize the Banana and trap Lance Sterling, Nadia, and Slobberjob on the pillar. A group of monkeys steal the Banana, forcing a scramble to escape with the prize.

Chased to a cliff, they use the Banana to slip their adversaries into the river, with Rameet surviving the lava trap and the trio fleeing toward safety.

Ending the fantasy, Garfield and Odie fall out of the refrigerator. Garfield claims it was his last dream, only to slip into another that mirrors Casablanca.
