Gajendra, Vijayakanth, an orphan with a big heart, grows up under Azhagarsamy’s family in Chennai, forming a quiet, almost father‑son bond with them.

Azhagarsamy, Sarath Babu, and his wife welcome Gajendra into their home, laying the groundwork for protection and belonging in a rough city.

Kasthuri, Flora Saini, Azhagarsamy’s granddaughter, starts to develop feelings for Gajendra, which introduces a delicate tension into the household and the future of the alliance.

Indhu, Laya, a mentally challenged girl whom Gajendra visits weekly, becomes a focal point of his kindness as he entertains her and supports her caretakers, creating a sacred routine in his life.

When Kasthuri’s wish to marry Gajendra becomes public, Azhagarsamy decides to formalize the match by officially adopting Gajendra, hoping to cement the union and bring the families together. Yet the plan strains the balance at home when Gajendra’s steadfast care for Indhu comes into view, and Indhu is suspected to be his mistress.

Meanwhile, two separate groups close in on Gajendra. They track him to the banks of the Kaveri River, where Indhu is with him, and a tense confrontation erupts as one faction tests his resolve.

Gajendra, once calm and composed, roars into action and ruthlessly takes down many rowdies to protect those around him. Indhu is injured in the skirmish, while the second group lends him support and start chanting that he is the “Andhra Gaja.” When Indhu regains consciousness, she remembers her past and, in a shocking moment, stabs Gajendra with an iron pole.

Gajendra is hospitalized in critical condition. The leader of the rescuers explains the “Andhra Gaja” legend in a flashback, setting the stage for the deeper unraveling of his history.

In the flashback, Azhagarsamy’s oldest daughter Mahalakshmi elopes with a Hyderabadi named Aravind. After their separation from Azhagarsamy’s family, Gajendra travels to Hyderabad to reunite the clan, joining a medical and spiritual spa run by Mahalakshmi’s relatives under the guise of a patient. He discovers Indhu is Azhagarsamy’s first granddaughter, a detail that deepens his mission to mend the fractured ties.

Tragedy strikes when Mahalakshmi is killed by a local goon, Chhota Babu, while Rana—an influential don—controls the Andhra Pradesh mafia. Gajendra takes matters into his own hands, eliminating Babu and his gang in Andhra Pradesh and earning the moniker “Andhra Gaja.” This act pushes him deeper into a fight against Rana’s network and the corruption that fractured his family.

Indhu, meanwhile, finds herself increasingly alone and anxious about Gajendra’s crusade. She suggests a return to Tamil Nadu with her father, but Gajendra’s focus remains on the fight against crime and the safety of those he cares for.

Indhu and Aravind’s decision to return to Chennai collides with a crisis when Indhu’s father is found carrying a bomb on a train. Gajendra faces an impossible choice: let Indhu’s father die to save others, or intervene and risk the lives of many. He chooses to save the greater number, shooting Aravind as he clings to a moving train. Indhu, unable to warn him, jumps to grab her father but strikes her head on a pole, losing her memory and becoming mentally challenged.

As the flashback ends, the hospital is surrounded by a chorus of voices shouting “Gaja Gaja,” a testament to the changed and enduring legend around him. Rana and his men arrive with lethal intent, but Gajendra’s allies—friends, a vigilant police force, and a family that has been rebuilt—stand with him. In a final, hard‑fought battle, the resistance against Rana’s empire is toppled, and Gajendra’s stricter sense of justice prevails, wrapping the story in a bittersweet closure that honors loyalty, sacrifice, and the power of reunion.
