As Europe braces for the final stages of World War II, a steadfast Soviet reconnaissance team led by Novikov embarks on a perilous mission. Their goal is to dismantle a fortified German sniper position, showcasing their determination amidst the chaos of war.

After completing their mission, the team receives a haunting Soviet distress signal. The disquieting silence that follows from high command leaves them in a state of uncertainty and concern regarding the safety of their compatriots.

Despite skepticism about the presence of Soviet forces nearby, Novikov, feeling a strong sense of duty, leads his team to investigate the mysterious transmission. The decision sets them on a path fraught with danger as they approach the coordinates of the signal.

As they reach the coordinates, Dmitri captures eerie footage of unexplained Nazi deaths and strange machinery. Their investigation leads them to increasingly bizarre and unsettling events that defy all logical explanation.

Upon entering an abandoned church, the team triggers a horrific 'zombot' event. The undead, grotesquely modified, violently attacks, killing Novikov and deeply traumatizing the remaining members of the squad.

In the wake of Novikov's death, Sergei steps up as the leader. However, he immediately faces a challenge from Vassili, who questions his authority, leading to tensions within the squad even as they face a gruesome reality.

In a swift resolution, Sacha kills Frankenstein before confronting Dmitri, who is now cornered. As the chaos unfolds, Sergei rises as a zombot, sealing Dmitri's fate and culminating in a grim ending that emphasizes the perils they faced throughout their harrowing journey.
