Footfairy

The film jumps forward seven years. Vivaan has left the police force and now runs his own security agency, living a quieter life while the town has seemingly moved on. He returns to the railway tracks where the murders once took place and stands looking into the distance. A curious child asks him why he and the other man are staring at the tracks. When Vivaan probes, the child mentions a suitcase that was left there years ago, a detail that linked the victims to the original Footfairy killings. Realising the child is speaking about the same case, Vivaan asks where the man who left the suitcase went. The child simply points down the line of tracks, and the camera follows the rails disappearing into the horizon, leaving the mystery lingering in the open.

In the end‑credits scene the story shifts abroad. A woman walks alone in a snowy setting; someone tosses a snowball at her, and as she turns, a plastic cover is slipped over her head, the screen cutting to black. This stark image suggests that the Footfairy’s pattern has escaped the town and is now operating in another country, indicating the killer—or at least the terror he represents—has not been truly caught.
