In April 1905, fashionable Parisian women arrive at an abattoir to drink ox blood as a cure for anemia. The doctors report the treatment is successful, and the women are drawn deeper into the ritual. The scene establishes the origin of their nocturnal appetite for blood.

Marc, the young gang leader, betrays his four accomplices as he plans to escape to London with the stolen gold. The betrayal sparks a desperate manhunt and splits loyalties within the group. The pursuit sets the stage for Marc's flight to the countryside.

Marc flees to the countryside and takes refuge in an isolated château inhabited by Elisabeth and Eva, two chambermaids who await the Marchioness and her servants. The women treat Marc with a mix of amusement and caution as they weigh whether to help him. The refuge becomes the setting for shifting loyalties and hidden desires.

Eva offers herself to Marc, and they have sex, sparking Elisabeth's jealousy. The intimate moment unsettles the trio and foreshadows tension beneath their cordial surface. The women amuse themselves with Marc's company while keeping their own secret.

Marc's former accomplices discover the hideout, and a violent shootout erupts at the château. The thieves press their advantage, forcing the occupants to draw weapons and defend the refuge. The violence exposes the fragility of the supposed alliance.

To prevent Eva from revealing their location, the attackers take her to the stables and demand the gold. The new leader forces Eva to give her dress to his wife and coerces her into sex. In the struggle, Eva stabs the leader to death.

Armed with a scythe, Eva kills the remaining thieves when the group tries to subdue her. She then drags herself back to the château, wounded and bloodied. The bloodshed marks a brutal turn in the night’s events.

That evening, the Marchioness arrives with her servants and a party is held at the château, with Marc as the only man present. The guests maintain their refined demeanor while danger simmers beneath the surface. Marc becomes the focal point of attention and unease.

At midnight, the women change into transparent robes, supposedly for a secret ceremony. The ritual atmosphere thickens and Marc senses his chances of escape slipping away. The secret society's true hunger for blood remains hidden beneath the surface.

Marc, still on the run, escapes to the stables in hopes of a final getaway. Eva is sent after him to bring him back to the château. Elisabeth intervenes by shooting Eva, punctuating the night with sudden violence.

Elisabeth and Marc escape while a wounded Eva crawls back to the château. The servants drain Eva's blood, completing the initiation of the secret circle. The night ends with Elisabeth consolidating control over Marc's fate.

In the pigeon loft, Elisabeth explains the origin of the ox blood ritual and the secret society. She admits she never loved Marc and begins to enact her final plan. The revelation cements her power over the remaining figures.

Elisabeth shoots Marc dead and tastes his blood, signaling the end of his resistance. She returns to the château and lies to the Marchioness, claiming Marc killed Eva and she killed Marc in revenge. The Marchioness tells Elisabeth that she looks beautiful with Marc's blood on her lips.
