Family Pack

Jérôme tries to persuade his family to play a game he claims was invented by Gilbert. They refuse, and he eventually puts the game away. Soon after, an earthquake shakes the house, shattering their sense of normalcy.

Following the tremor, the house no longer feels the same and Clara has vanished. The Vassiers search the home and then head toward the nearby village for clues. Their sense of reality fractures as strange sounds echo around them.

They realize they have been teleported to 1497 through the game and witness a public execution of a shepherd accused of being a werewolf. The crowd treats the beasts as real, not a staged event. They conclude that the only way to win the game is to kill the four werewolves.

The captain and his men seize Childéric's house, forcing the family to flee. They pose as a travelling troupe named 'Daniel Baladin and the Baladettes' to slip past the guards. Jerome proves their act by singing 'Mon fils ma bataille' on the lute.

Clara is revealed to be the 'little girl', invisible and mute, who spies for the group. Only Jérôme, as a seer, can hear her thoughts.

The family discovers that each member has a role inherited from the game: Gilbert is the hunter and physically strong; Théo is the thief who can transform into others by borrowing their objects; Marie appears as an ordinary villager. Louise, however, is a werewolf, transforming at night while staying normal by day.

They seek out Childéric's neighbor, Piero, an Italian artist and scholar who helps make Clara visible with a rubber paste he invented. His presence also anchors the more practical clues for navigating the past.

A peasant woman transforms into a werewolf and is shot dead. Clara, using her telepathic link, identifies the last two werewolves: a woman with whitened hands and a stout, limping man.

They use Louise's sense of smell to track the remaining beasts during daytime. Gilbert kills the stout man; Marie, a lawyer, is imprisoned for witchcraft after defending a woman from abuse.

Jérôme distracts the crowd by singing 'Allumer le feu' while Childéric and Marie are about to be burned. The others free them and flee toward a church, hoping to slip away through a secret tunnel, which they cannot locate.

Inside the church, the last werewolf arrives and the captain is revealed to be Cupid; the werewolf is his wife. Louise, briefly a werewolf again, initially attacks but eventually fights alongside the family after a song reconnects her with her parents. Marie reveals herself as the 'witch' who can resurrect a player by killing another and uses this power to defeat the werewolf and revive Louise.

Having eliminated three monsters, the Vassiers close the game box and return to their time. Piero reveals that he will resume painting in Florence under the name Leonardo Piero da Vinci, having become Jérôme's artistic inspiration.

Back in the present, Jérôme discovers letters his father wrote at night; the game had interrupted his illness, and he remained fully lucid. The letters express his love and reveal memories he had kept hidden.

The family visits the Louvre, where the Mona Lisa now bears Jérôme's features, suggesting that the extraordinary journey has altered reality and memory itself.
