The action unfolds in a not-too-distant future where the Bronx has been decimated and corporately redeveloped into a 'city of the future.' Years after the events of 1990, power-accumulating interests push a brutal cleanup, highlighting a world where private armies police urban space.

Set in a ruined Bronx after a corporate 'city of the future' plan, the surface layer is a brutal wasteland where scavengers, bums and gangs fight for survival. The underground serves as a hidden command center for rebel groups that resist the GC Corporation’s clearance campaigns. The environment features charred tenements, improvised shelters, and constant violence from Disinfestors and armed squads.
