Kamal, Ravi Mohan, is a young billionaire who doesn’t believe in love. He works relentlessly for eleven months of the year and then takes a single month off from all his work-related commitments. In France and Italy, a celloist named Kayalvizhi, known as Kayal (or Lolita to Kamal), is deeply devoted to the idea of true love and is fascinated by Indian culture. When she first lays eyes on Kamal, it’s love at first sight for her, even though he simply gets into his car and drives away before she can reach him.
Kayal’s father, Rajasekhar, runs a small detective agency in France, and Kayal often pores over his case files, treating them like stories. One day, Rajasekhar takes on a new client who wants to know about his girlfriend’s mystery man. After a brief investigation, Rajasekhar discovers that his client’s girlfriend is dating Kamal, a revelation that sparks danger and chaos. The client, Sonu, becomes furious and resolves to kill Kamal. Kayal overhears the confrontation and rushes to the hotel to intervene, hoping to avert a tragedy.
In Paris, Kayal reaches Kamal’s room just as danger closes in. The door is locked from the inside, and Kayal attempts to gain entry through the balcony. Before she can act, a gunshot rings out, and she faints on the balcony. Sonu’s girlfriend manages to flee, but Kamal is still in peril. Just as Sonu confronts Kamal, he discovers Kayal instead of his girlfriend and believes Rajasekhar has misunderstood the situation, apologizing to Kamal. Seeing how Kayal has saved him, Kamal becomes curious about her, and their chance encounters turn into something deeper, even as Kayal resists.
Kamal eventually leaves Paris for a series of board meetings, and Kayal is heartbreakingly left waiting for him to return. When he comes back, he does not remember her right away. To rekindle his interest, Kayal pretends to have several boyfriends, hoping to spark his jealousy. Kamal, in turn, hires a detective to uncover the truth about Kayal and these supposed relationships. The detective he chooses is Rajasekhar, Kayal’s father, who realizes that Kamal is asking about his daughter because only Kayal witnessed the real story. He gently tells Kamal to leave his daughter alone—the same plea he has offered whenever someone falls in love with him.
Kamal agrees to leave, explaining that he will depart for Germany and may not know when he’ll return. Kayal is crushed, but Kamal soon discovers that he cannot forget her and that love has found him too. He returns to Paris to find Kayal, but she is still angry and distant. Kamal runs after her, declaring that he is in love and will never leave her side. In a quiet, decisive moment, they acknowledge their feelings and vow to be together, no matter what challenges lie ahead.
The film also features a cameo by Prakash Raj and a special appearance by Prabhu Deva, adding small, memorable touches to the romance set against the backdrop of Europe. The performances weave together a story of estrangement, pursuit, and a renewed commitment that transcends pride and miscommunication, inviting viewers to believe in the power of serendipitous love.
