Enchanted

The story opens with a narrator, played by Julie Andrews, who introduces the animated fairytale realm of Andalasia. The land is under the rule of the wicked Queen Narissa, who is determined to maintain her power by keeping her step-son, Prince Edward, away from potential brides.

Giselle, portrayed by Amy Adams, lives in a treehouse cottage and dreams of true love. With the help of her animal friends, including her chipmunk companion Pip, she creates a statue representing her ideal true love, believing that love's kiss is the key to happiness.

Meanwhile, Prince Edward is hunting trolls with his servant, Nathaniel. Upon hearing Giselle's enchanting song, he is drawn to her and goes to investigate, unaware of Narissa's plans to thwart his love life.

As Edward approaches Giselle, Nathaniel releases a troll he had previously captured to divert the prince's attention. Giselle is chased by the troll but is ultimately rescued by Pip, leading to a fateful encounter with Edward.

After falling into Edward's lap, Giselle and Edward instantly fall in love and decide to marry the next day. However, unbeknownst to them, Narissa is watching with sinister intentions to prevent the wedding.

On the day of the wedding, Narissa, disguised as an old woman, manipulates Giselle into visiting a supposed wishing well. Once Giselle closes her eyes to make a wish, Narissa pushes her down the well, sending her to a different world.

Giselle emerges from a manhole cover in Times Square, confused and overwhelmed by the chaotic urban environment. Trying to reconnect with her dream of true love, she inadvertently causes a series of mishaps in the busy city.

Giselle encounters Robert Phillip, a divorce lawyer played by Patrick Dempsey, and his daughter Morgan. While Robert is skeptical of Giselle's fairytale notions, Morgan believes Giselle is a real princess and wants to help her.

In Andalasia, Pip alerts Edward about Giselle's disappearance. Determined to rescue her, Edward and Pip dive into the portal to New York City, arriving just as the bustling morning rush begins.

Giselle uses her singing to summon creatures for help in cleaning Robert's messy apartment. This results in a chaotic encounter with Robert and his girlfriend Nancy, leading to misunderstandings and comedic situations.

Nathaniel, under Narissa's orders, attempts to poison Giselle with enchanted apples. However, two assassination attempts are foiled: one when Giselle discards a poisoned caramel apple and another interrupted by Pip's arrival.

Giselle encourages Robert to invite Nancy to a ball, helping them reconnect. Meanwhile, Giselle feels a growing bond with Robert as they navigate the complexities of love in the real world.

At the ball, Narissa reveals her true form and offers Giselle the last poisoned apple, which Giselle consumes out of fear and sadness. This leads to a frantic race against time as Robert realizes he must save her.

As the clock strikes midnight, Giselle lies unconscious, and it's up to Robert to save her. Defying the expectations of the fairytale, Robert kisses Giselle, awakening her from the magical spell.

After Narissa's defeat and the restoration of order, all characters find their respective happy endings. Nancy and Edward return to Andalasia, while Giselle, Robert, and Morgan form a new family unit in New York.
