A United States men's national team plane crashes into the sea off a Malaysian tropical island. The coach, his wife, and several members of the crew are killed, leaving 15 survivors who reach the shore and face the island's dire conditions. The group begins to reckon with limited resources and the threat of no rescue.

On day one the survivors recover some food from the offshore wreck. Kennefick panics at the sight of a shark and accidentally lets the food float away, depriving the group of precious supplies. The incident sows tension and fear as morale begins to fray.

Disagreements over leadership and survival split the survivors into two factions: a violent faction led by Andreas and a more compassionate faction led by Slim. Trust erodes as resources tighten and the island's dangers loom. The rift sets the tone for subsequent struggles.

On day seven, Connie takes her own life, a brutal moment that shocks the group. The suicide reduces the number of survivors to fourteen and intensifies the fight for dwindling resources. The emotional strain deepens the island's perilous atmosphere.

Later the same day, Georgie steps on a land mine and dies that night. The tragedy reduces the group to thirteen inhabitants and underscores the island's lethal unpredictability. The survivors struggle with the ongoing losses as tensions simmer.

On the eighth day Patton and McKenna leave in the only rubber raft, choosing escape over sharing the raft with Eva as a water collector. Their departure reduces the group to eleven. The dynamic on the island shifts as water needs clash with survival instincts.

Elena begins a sexual relationship with Andreas, while Eva connects with Felix. These relationships complicate loyalties and further fragment the group as personal bonds form amid scarcity. The island's crisis accelerates moral and ethical tensions.

Kennefick steals a third of the remaining rations, prompting Andreas to try to cut his throat. Slim and Felix intervene, though Felix is accidentally stabbed and dies. The death reduces the number of survivors to ten and intensifies the peril.

In the early hours of day 14, Doug kills Markese and then Slim kills Arnie, leaving eight survivors. The cycle of violence underscores the collapse of order on the island as more lives are lost. The rescue seems increasingly distant as the group confronts its own breakdown.

Rescue helicopters arrive at sunrise, having found Patton and McKenna on the raft Slim intended to destroy. Andreas hides rather than return with Slim and the others, and the remaining five condemn him by lying that no one else is on the island, effectively sentencing him to death. The island's survivors are rescued but one man meets a treacherous fate.
