Two years after Majin Buu's defeat, Mr. Satan hosts a banquet at his new hotel to celebrate what many Earth citizens believe was his victory over Evil Buu. He invites Goku, Vegeta, and their families to attend the feast. A gnawing guilt lingers over Satan as he worries the world credits him with a triumph he did not fully earn.

As the dinner progresses, two Saiyan spaceships descend outside the hotel and a mysterious Saiyan with his wife confronts the heroes. The mood shifts from celebration to tension as the unexpected visitors demand attention. The guests steel themselves for an impending confrontation.

Tarble steps forward and declares himself Vegeta's younger brother. He explains that their father King Vegeta considered him weak and exiled him before Planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza.
