Elmer, a wealthy idle playboy, falls for Mary, who rebuffs him until he mistakenly thinks she’s hiring a new chauffeur and inadvertently enlists in the army. Mary, meanwhile, entertains troops. Complications arise when Elmer’s sergeant also courts Mary, just as their unit prepares to ship out for France.
