Doom: Annihilation

Dr. Betruger oversees a teleportation experiment, sending a volunteer from a UAC lab in Nevada to Phobos using ancient Gates. The procedure appears to succeed, but the subject arrives deformed and insane. The successful transport triggers a power disruption in the Phobos base as monsters spill through the Gate.

Marines aboard the cryo-transport awaken and regroup after stasis. Among them is Joan Dark, a disgraced lieutenant, and Bennett Stone, a scientist, with Veronica the medic among the survivors. The group prepares for reconnaissance of the Phobos base.

Against orders, Betruger teleports himself to the Nevada base through the Gates, triggering a wide-scale shutdown of systems and unleashing monsters on Phobos. The marines soon realize the Gates are far deadlier than expected. The base plunges into crisis as the threat grows.

The marines are ordered to investigate the base and restore power, racing against a looming reactor meltdown. They enter through the emergency entrance and brace for contact with hostile forces. The clock is ticking as the Gate threat intensifies.

Bennett discovers the reserve power has drained to two percent, leaving only 90 minutes before the fusion reactor explodes. The countdown escalates the tension as the facility comes under increasing pressure. Time is critical as the team fights to regain control.

The team encounters zombie-like UAC personnel, including Betruger, Veronica, and Chaplain Glover. Betruger unveils that Gates have been studied for 30 years to colonize planets, while Glover argues they are demons. Trust within the group begins to fracture amid the chaos.

Joan orders the remaining marines and survivors to evacuate the base to avoid catastrophe while they regroup. The group pulls back toward safer ground as the threat continues to close in. The decision marks a turning point in how they will respond to Betruger's plan.

Returning to the transport, the crew is attacked by Imp-like demons, killing several marines including Glover. The transport's defenses falter as the attackers swarm, threatening their escape route. The team must improvise to survive the assault.

With the transport disabled, Joan agrees to Betruger's plan to restore power to use the Gate to teleport survivors to Nevada. She later reveals to Bennett that this agreement was a ruse to restore communications and buy them time. The plan shifts the group’s priorities toward getting a working link to the outside.

Bennett restores power to the base, and Betruger reveals Joan's disgrace for letting a terrorist go free. Betruger then kills Veronica and seals the marines in the power server as Imps swarm. The survivors are isolated and the stakes rise dramatically.

Only Joan and Bennett remain; they resolve to stop Betruger from activating the Gate, racing through corridors toward the Gate chamber. The corridor battles intensify as Imps press their assault. The fate of Earth hinges on their next moves.

Bennett is attacked by an Imp; Joan seizes the BFG 9000 and fights through to the Gate. Bennett, now zombified, lunges at Joan, forcing her to kill him. Betruger resurrects, pushes Joan into the Gate, and she is drawn into the portal.

Joan is teleported to Hell, where she battles Imps and the demon overlord Stanga. After defeating them, she blasts the demon army and is returned to the Gate, bringing her back to the Nevada base. She fights for humanity’s survival against the Gate's endless threat.

Back at the Nevada base, Joan demands the Gate be shut down; security apprehends and sedates her as the Gate begins to reactivate. Dr. Kahn suspects Betruger is coming through, and the scene cuts to black with a menacing growl. The threat lingers beyond the credits.
