Audrey’s resentment boils over when she steals the Queen’s crown and Maleficent’s scepter from their museum, wielding new powers and stepping fully into villainy. With Audrey embracing her newfound might, she argues that the safest future for Auradon would be to seal the Isle away once and for all, cutting off the parents and children alike from their shared history.

The tipping point comes when Audrey curses Mal with Maleficent’s scepter, turning the heroine into an aging version of herself. To break the curse, the VKs set out for the Isle to retrieve Hades’s ember—the only artifact strong enough to counter the dark magic—while Celia aids them by slipping into Hades’ lair.
