Descendants

Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos visit the Isle of the Lost to select four new VKs to take to Auradon. They choose Dizzy, Celia, Squeaky, and Squirmy as the kids who will join Auradon’s world. This mission sets the stage for the clash between two realms and the future of both societies.

On the day the kids are set to be picked up, Ben proposes to Mal and she accepts. Audrey’s jealousy festers as the couple’s romance complicates the VKs’ integration. Queen Leah also weighs in, reminding everyone of legacy and expectations.

As the older VKs return to Auradon, Hades tries to break through the Isle’s barrier. Mal attempts to stop him but is weakened in the process. The failed breach foreshadows the growing danger to both worlds.

Audrey steals Queen Leah’s crown and Maleficent’s scepter from the museum, gaining powerful magical abilities. Her newfound power fuels a dangerous bid to control Auradon. The theft marks a turning point in Audrey’s arc from insider to major threat.

Audrey uses the scepter to curse Mal, turning her into an elderly version of herself. The VKs must act quickly to protect Auradon, while the plan centers on securing Hades' ember to break the curse. The curse raises the stakes for everyone involved.

Mal and the VKs travel to the Isle to obtain Hades’ ember, the only artifact powerful enough to break the curse. Upon entering, Mal is freed from the age curse because the Isle bans dark magic. Celia guides them toward Hades’ lair, but the ember remains elusive.

Inside Hades’ lair, Hades is revealed to be Mal’s absentee father. He reluctantly gives her the ember, warning her not to get it wet and noting that being half-Hades may limit its power. The ember’s glow marks a pivotal turn in Mal’s mission to save Auradon.

Leaving the Isle, Mal and the VKs are intercepted by Uma, Gil, and Harry, who offer to help if Mal agrees to release all the children from the Isle. Mal agrees to the condition, creating a fragile alliance with a shared goal. The alliance broadens the fight against Audrey’s growing influence.

Back in Auradon, Audrey crashes Jane’s birthday party with a sleeping curse, while Ben is transformed into a Beast. The spell spreads, and as the kingdom falters, Jane escapes into the enchanted lake seeking a remedy. Audrey proposes marriage as a way to cement her control.

Mal and Uma, each vying for leadership of the VKs, return to Auradon with their friends and unite against Audrey. Their collaboration marks a turning point as old rivalries are set aside to protect both realms. The plan now hinges on coordinated action against the crown thief.

Ben, in beast form, is found and calmed by Carlos removing a splinter, while Jane restores him to human form with enchanted lake water. The group regroups and regains hope as they prepare for the final confrontation with Audrey. The restored Ben becomes a focal point in the battle to reclaim Auradon.

Audrey traps the group in Evie’s house, and Mal shifts into her dragon form to fight back. Uma returns and they combine their magic to reignite the ember. Mal defeats Audrey, who lapses into a coma, and the curses begin to lift as balance is restored.

Mal convinces Hades to use the ember to revive Audrey, but she chooses a bridge instead of a barrier, merging the Isle with Auradon. The two worlds begin to coexist, and the newly formed society celebrates their unity. The barrier’s replacement symbolizes a lasting peace.

In the epilogue, Evie is with Doug, Carlos is with Jane, Mal and Ben are engaged, Jay and Gil plan to travel the world, and Audrey appears open to a new romance with Harry after Uma’s rejection. A mid-credits scene shows Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos racing across the new bridge to reunite with their parents.
