Demonic

Carly learns that Angela burned down a care home and poisoned a church, leading to her conviction. The revelation drives a rift: Carly cuts off contact with her mother and loses touch with their circle, including Martin and Sam.

Martin reaches out with a text proposing a meet and reveals he was invited to Therapol's focus group. Therapol then contacts Carly to discuss Angela, who remains comatose. The setup hints at dangerous experiments around Angela's condition.

Carly visits Therapol and meets scientists Daniel and Michael, who explain Angela's coma and the 'locked-in' state inside a simulation. They claim Angela is highly active within the simulation and can call to Carly or Martin. They ask Carly to enter Angela's mind to talk to her.

Inside the simulation, Carly finds a copy of her childhood home and confronts Angela about her crimes. Angela speaks within the simulation and demands that Carly leave. The tense encounter leaves Carly wary of the power she has entered.

That night, Carly has a nightmare where she discovers a strange symbol made of a raven carcass. The vision foreshadows the demonic presence haunting the mind game. It unsettles Carly and hints at a deeper, darker danger.

Carly's second trip takes her through a tunnel into a field outside an old sanatorium where Angela had worked. Angela asserts she wasn't the one who called Carly and Martin. The simulation glitches as Angela's body flickers, and the scientists remain unmoved by Carly's pleas to exit.

Within the sanatorium sequence, Carly discovers Sam's body and is attacked by an avian-like demon that slashes its arm, mirroring a wound in the real world. The demon's presence suggests a deep link between the mind and body. She escapes the simulation and reports what happened to the scientists.

Carly refuses to participate in any more simulations after the terrifying encounter. She tries to process the experience with Daniel and Michael and contemplates the danger the demon poses. Her resolve hardens against Therapol's agenda while she recalls past clues about Angela's past.

Carly visits Martin, who presents demonic possession theories and a sketch of the creature. He claims nightmares are connected to a Vatican-backed black ops program using Therapol to detect possessed people. They discuss the sanatorium as the demon's entry point.

That night, Sam visits Carly with a bird mask and urges her to 'look for me in the woods.' The two exchange frightened signals before Sam contorts and chases Carly as the demon seems to invade their circle. Carly barricades herself as the encounter blurs into a waking nightmare.

After the night attack, Sam's whereabouts become uncertain; Carly teams with Martin to locate Angela and rescue Sam. They reach the woods and retrieve a traumatized Sam who claims a group of men took Angela to the sanatorium. The trio prepares for a final confrontation.

At the sanatorium, a black ops team has been massacred and Daniel lies dying. He reveals the demon has entered Michael and passes Carly a holy lance meant to kill it. Carly steels herself for a dangerous mind-based rescue of Angela.

Carly enters the simulation to rescue Angela, who is freed from the demon and dies peacefully after making amends. She escapes the simulation to find Martin's car in flames and Sam dead, while Michael tortures Martin in the real world. The demon transfers into Carly as she fights back.

With the demon inside her, Carly battles the entity and stabs herself with the lance to seal it away. She wakes in a hospital and begins to mend her relationship with Martin. In the final moment, she visits Angela's grave and leaves flowers, signaling a fragile peace.
