Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - To the Hashira Training

After battling and killing Gyokko, the Upper Five of the Twelve Kizuki, Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito experiences the awakening of a mysterious mark on his face. This mark enhances his strength and speed, but soon leaves him reeling from exhaustion, prompting assistance from fellow swordsmiths Kozo Kanamori and Kotetsu.

Simultaneously, Tanjiro Kamado and Genya Shinazugawa assist Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji in their fight against Upper Four Hantengu. During this confrontation, Hantengu shrinks to hide, while his hatred manifests as Zohakuten, launching a formidable attack using giant wooden dragons.

As the battle intensifies, Mitsuri awakens her own mark, enhancing her abilities to combat Zohakuten. With new strength, she joins her allies in facing the formidable foes threatening them.

Tanjiro uses his 'Hinokami Kagura' technique to deliver a critical blow, slicing Hantengu's neck. This moment of victory is short-lived as Hantengu unleashes Urami, a manifestation of his resentment, which gravely threatens Tanjiro's life.

While Urami uses a sonic shriek to incapacitate Genya and Tanjiro, Nezuko, Tanjiro's younger sister, arrives just in time to change the tide. She splashes her blood on Urami, igniting him in flames and resetting the balance of the battle.

After both combatants fall down a cliff, Muichiro, Kozo, Kotetsu, and Hotaru Haganezuka appear to support them in their dire situation. With his remaining strength, Muichiro hands Tanjiro Hotaru's unfinished sword as dawn approaches.

Due to the strain of battling Mitsuri, Urami detects the presence of the three swordsmiths nearby and attempts to flee to consume them. This revelation puts the remaining warriors in a race against time to stop him.

Tanjiro manages to behead Urami, but the tragic irony unfolds as he realizes Nezuko is starting to burn from the sunlight. He is momentarily frozen by the dread of making the wrong decision as he struggles to save his sister.

After Tanjiro’s recollection of Hantengu hiding in Urami's heart, he exposes the demon to sunlight, ultimately killing Hantengu and freeing himself from the curse. This act leads to the disintegration of Zohakuten, saving Mitsuri in the process.

In a moment of hope, Tanjiro grieves the loss of Nezuko, only to discover she has survived, no longer burning, and she has begun to speak after her bamboo mouthpiece falls off. This moment leads to a newfound hope for Tanjiro and his companions.

As the battle concludes, demon king Muzan Kibutsuji learns of Nezuko's immunity to sunlight through Hantengu's memories. This knowledge ignites his sinister desire to attain immortality by consuming her, raising future stakes for the heroes.

Following the intense conflict, the village erupts into celebration, honoring Tanjiro and Nezuko for their bravery. Muichiro expresses gratitude to Tanjiro for assisting him in reclaiming his identity during the battle.

A week later, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira return from their respective missions to reunite with Tanjiro, who is recovering. Hotaru presents Tanjiro with a new sword adorned with the late Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku's tsuba, marking a new chapter.

Simultaneously, Serpent Hashira Obanai Iguro and Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa embark on an investigation of an abandoned temple rumored to harbor demons. Their findings lead them to the discovery of several portals to the Infinity Castle, Muzan's lair.

As the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, faces his final days, his wife Amane calls the Hashiras for a crucial meeting. They discuss the necessity of undergoing special training to harness their awakened powers in preparation for Muzan's anticipated return.
