Fourteen years after defeating Himuro Genma and the Shogun of the Dark, swordsman Kibagami Jubei roams Japan. He meets Shigure, a priestess whose village is razed by demons, and acquires the Dragon Jewel, a target of two demon clans. With Dakuan and thief Tsubute, Shigure heads to Yagyu, prompting Dakuan to enlist Jubei to protect the Light Priestess.
