Winter 1944, as the war ends and towns crumble, a worn coat is Mama’s only possession; she works in the cloak‑room of a local dance school. Her son steals it for twenty pengő to fund Aranka Fussbaum’s costly romance. In a world without honor, they still search desperately for the coat.
