In present‑day Poland, deep suspicion toward Gypsies persists across Europe. Thirteen‑year‑old Mala, an ordinary village girl, begins to question the prejudice she hears from adults. Determined, she visits the Gypsy camp, has a rewarding encounter, then watches authorities force the community out. No one is harmed, and episode reshapes Mala’s outlook.
