Dear Santa

Liam Turner, a sixth-grader with dyslexia, struggles to adjust to a new town while dealing with familial strife stemming from his older brother Spencer's recent death. His parents, Bill and Molly, face marital issues that complicate his already challenging life.

As Liam navigates school life, he feels insecure and nervous, especially around Emma, his classmate and crush, who is the only one supportive of him. He also grapples with the fear of introducing his new best friend Gibby to his parents.

In a moment of hope, Liam writes a Christmas wish list which he mistakenly addresses to 'Satan' instead of 'Santa.' He mails it out, unknowingly setting the stage for a bizarre turn of events.

To Liam's shock, Satan appears in his bedroom the next night after receiving the wish list. Mistaking him for Santa due to his peculiar demeanor, Liam is drawn into an unconventional deal with him.

While conversing with Satan, Liam offhandedly wishes for Emma to give him a chance. The next day, Satan pushes him to approach her, leading to a date that makes Liam’s heart race.

With Satan's intervention, Liam secures a VIP date with Emma at a Post Malone concert. This moment is a turning point for Liam, providing a rush of excitement and hope despite the chaos surrounding him.

Liam's parents express concern over his 'fantasies' and bring in Dr. Finkleman for an intervention. Their skepticism is challenged when Satan unexpectedly appears and whisks Liam away to the concert.

At the concert, with Satan's help, Liam finds himself on stage dancing with Post Malone. This surreal experience culminates in a cheek kiss from Emma, marking a high point in Liam’s young life.

While Liam revels in his newfound popularity, Gibby feels overshadowed and leaves the concert disheartened. He struggles with feelings of rejection, particularly as his friend enjoys the limelight.

Realizing Gibby’s discontent, Liam uses his second wish to fix Gibby's teeth. This gesture cements their friendship and leads to plans for a double date with Emma at a Christmas carnival.

Liam's concerned parents overhear his plans with Gibby and decide to intervene, fearing his mental health. Their assumptions about Liam's delusions begin to shift when a nurse mentions seeing him at the concert.

As Liam contemplates his friendships, Satan tempts him with visions of Emma and Gibby enjoying the carnival without him. Feeling dejected, he locks himself in his room while his parents confront their grief and reconcile.

Distraught, Liam sneaks out to see Satan and uses his last wish, wishing for his parents to remain together. Satan accepts this but warns him about the implications for his soul.

Believing his soul is condemned, Liam starts standing up to his school tormentors, but in doing so, he inadvertently alienates Emma, leading to further complications in his social life.

On Christmas morning, Liam is astonished to find Spencer miraculously resurrected, reuniting his family for the holiday. This surreal experience is both joyous and shocking, highlighting the theme of hope and redemption.
