Darling Darling

Kochu Kurup helps his friend elope but is mistaken for the lover and caught. His parents decide to send him to Bangalore to meet his best friend Kartik, a wealthy young man. This separation kicks off a tangled web of lies and a double life.

As Kochu Kurup's stand-in, Aniyankutty goes to meet Shalini. There he meets Shalini's friend Pappi (Padmaja) and, pretending to be Karthik, begins to fall in love with her. The deception draws him into a genuine romance and a risky double life.

During a drive, Karthik (still in Kochu Kurup's role) hits a woman and drives away without helping. Kochu Kurup later finds the accident, takes the injured woman to the hospital, and leaves Karthik's name and phone number since he has no address in Bangalore.

The woman is Pappi's aunt. She calls Kochu Kurup and threatens a lawsuit. When the aunt wakes up and tells Pappi that Kochu Kurup saved her, Pappi calls him to apologize.

As they talk on the phone, Kochu Kurup and Pappi grow closer and plan to meet in person. The romance deepens despite the deception around their identities. Their conversations set the stage for a real connection.

While Kochu Kurup and Kartik wait for Pappi at a bus stop, Kartik discovers that Pappi and Padmaja are the same person. This revelation complicates their plans and tests the fragile trust between them.

Karthik sabotages Kochu Kurup and Padmaja's attempts to meet, using his influence to derail their plans. The deception grows more tangled as the lovers struggle to connect.

Kochu Kurup's father arranges a marriage for him, which he refuses, not knowing the alliance is with Pappi. The situation hints at a forced union that could bind the lovers against their wishes.

Kartik learns of the arrangement and helps Kochu Kurup cancel the wedding. His intervention creates an opening for the real couple to choose their path.

Kochu Kurup and Pappi attempt to elope, but Aniyankutty intercepts them on the road to the railway station. He intends to ensure Pappi is taken with him, while Pappi's family intervenes and Aniyankutty is beaten by thugs.

Pappi reaches the railway station and waits for Kochu Kurup, but he does not arrive. Overwhelmed, she contemplates suicide on the railway track.

Kochu Kurup arrives too late and cannot find Pappi, realizing she is about to take a dangerous step. He runs toward the tracks in a desperate attempt to reach her.

Aniyankutty, awakened after the goons' assault, spots Pappi on the track as the train approaches and saves her just in time. He pulls her to safety and explains everything to her.

With Pappi saved and the truth revealed, Pappi and Kochu Kurup unite. Aniyankutty leaves for Bangalore, bringing the tangled romance to a close.
