Jim is a compulsive gambler who marries Marge after meeting her at a boarding house, but his addiction strains the marriage. When he runs into former lover Valerie, Marge leaves him. Years later he returns to find her with another old flame, Pres. Jim buys a racing dog Dark Hazard, wins a fortune, then loses it all at roulette.
