Plot Summary
The film chronicles the rise of the Ewing empire, serving as a prequel to the classic Dallas series. Narrated by Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing, it opens at a 1951 barbecue where “Digger” Barnes shoots at Jock Ewing, then rewinds to the 1930s. Former friends Jock and Digger, driven by oil ambitions, become bitter rivals when they both pursue Miss Ellie, igniting the legendary Ewing‑Barnes feud.
