Digicorp's Head of Security Finster recruits unemployed accountant Morgan Sullivan and gives him a new identity, Jack Thursby. He is trained to attend conventions to secretly record presentations and transmit them to headquarters. This marks the start of a covert espionage operation and a radical transformation for Morgan.

Morgan is haunted by recurring nightmares and develops a persistent neck pain as his undercover life begins. The strain foreshadows the mental toll of living under a false identity. The line between his real self and his spy persona starts to blur.

At a bar, Morgan meets Rita Foster from a rival corporation. She offers him pills and warns him not to transmit at the next convention. The meeting plants seeds of distrust and introduces the possibility of manipulation.

Morgan learns that Digicorp has received a transmission that never actually happened. He swallows the pills Rita gave him and finds his nightmares and pains disappear. The moment deepens his dependence on Rita and the sense that nothing is as it seems.

Morgan calls Rita for more information, and she warns that Sunway is just as ruthless as Digicorp and that her boss, Sebastian Rooks, is orchestrating the events. The warning deepens the web of deception surrounding Morgan. He realizes he may be a pawn in a larger scheme.

With Rita's help, Morgan steals the required information from Sunway's vault and makes his escape. The theft shifts the balance of power and sets up a confrontation between rival factions. He clutches the data as he runs, knowing it could decide his fate.

Armed men invade the apartment, forcing Morgan and Rita to flee onto the skyscraper roof. Digicorp and Sunway's security teams converge, triggering a tense standoff. The two sides realize their common target is Sebastian Rooks and race toward a dramatic escape.

On the rooftop, Sebastian triggers a memory surge and regains his past self, aided by Rita's encouragement. He takes control of a helicopter designed by him and lifts off as gunfire erupts below. The escape signals the collapse of the two corporations' pursuit.

Finster and Callaway observe the helicopter and realize the man they have been chasing is actually Sebastian Rooks. The revelation reframes their pursuit as a search for a single person, not two different identities. The confrontation peaks as both sides close in on the rooftop.

As the helicopter escapes, the rooftop erupts in an explosion, consuming the area in gunfire and debris. The blast marks the end of the immediate pursuit and the apparent triumph of Sebastian and Rita. The fate of the pursuers remains unresolved in the smoke and chaos.

Sebastian reveals the contents of the stolen disc to Rita aboard a boat in the South Pacific. The disc, marked 'terminate with extreme prejudice,' represents the last copy of Rita's identity after the vault copy was destroyed. Sebastian throws the disc into the sea, declaring there is now no copy at all.
