Curse of Aurore

Casey Nolan starts a YouTube livestream after unboxing a mystery box obtained through the Dark Web. He discovers a USB flash drive among the macabre artifacts and proceeds to play the video files live for his viewers, drawing them into the chilling evidence.

Aaron and Kevin land at a Quebec airport and are greeted by their partner Lena. The welcome sets up the dynamic among the trio as they head toward Lena's world and the unfolding mystery.

In the car, Lena shares the local legend of Aurore Gagnon, a girl who suffered abuse and murder in the 1920s. The story foreshadows the hauntings they may encounter and sets a darker tone for their investigation.

At a roadside restaurant, Lena introduces Aaron and Kevin to poutine. They talk about their lives, including Lena’s recent breakup, while locals give them odd, lingering looks that hint at a wary atmosphere around their group.

Back at Lena's family cottage, an apparition seems to appear behind them during a tour of the house. The supernatural moment unsettles the trio and raises questions about what kind of history they are about to uncover.

Over dinner, they decide that Aurore’s tragedy could be a compelling story to research further. They agree to document their findings as part of the project, setting the stage for deeper investigations.

That night, the upstairs hatch slams shut on its own, and later, townsfolk are seen entering a neighbor's house and joining a covert ritual. The events escalate the sense that something is actively opposing them.

The filmmakers explore Aurore’s hometown of Fortierville, visiting the local church and graveyard. The priest refuses to allow filming, reinforcing the idea that the town guards its secrets and history carefully.

At Aurore’s gravesite, they run into Chantal, Lena's old friend. Chantal explains that her uncle lives in Aurore’s childhood home and offers to arrange a guided tour for the trio.

While driving at night, Lena insists she sees Aurore’s ghost on the road, causing a dangerous crash. They manage to reach a nearby farmhouse and meet Benoit and Blanche, with Blanche performing a tarot reading that ominously reveals three death cards.

On the ride back, Kevin admits that he stole Blanche’s occult book, Languages of the Dead. The revelation triggers anger and distrust among the group and intensifies their creative rift.

They decide to document life in the moment and hold a seance in the basement using the stolen book and a crucifix. The session is tense, but nothing happens until a pizza smoke triggers the smoke alarm and the house shakes violently.

Paranormal activity escalates as townspeople gather for a ritual. In the barn, Kevin's decapitated body hangs on a makeshift altar while Lena and Aaron are knocked out, leaving the survivors to confront the horrific scene.

Casey Nolan closes the livestream by stating he is turning the evidence over to the authorities and urging viewers to contact them with any information about the tragedy. The video ends with the fate of the film crew and their footage left unresolved, prompting real-world investigation.
