In a small coastal colonial town, a clawed vampire bursts from the earth near an old cemetery and kills a couple, draining them. A coroner finds puncture wounds and human saliva on the victim’s neck and reports it to his police‑inspector friend. Killings and a coffin spread fear, leaving officials unsure if the killer is a vampire or an impostor.
