Emily-Elizabeth calls for Clifford, her immense and lovable dog, who leaps into action, ready for a day of carnival celebrations. Accompanied by friends Charley, Jetta, Cleo, and T-Bone, Clifford makes his grand entrance into the vibrant festivities filled with excitement.

At the carnival, the troupe known as 'Larry's Amazing Animals' showcases a lineup of quirky performers, but their acts fall flat, failing to impress the audience. The host, Larry Gablegobble, remains unaware of the dwindling excitement as he encourages the animals to keep up their spirits.

After the lackluster performance, Larry confides in P.T., the carnival owner, expressing concern about their fading audience. He proposes that the Amazing Animals participate in the upcoming Tummy Yummies Animal Talent Contest, presenting an opportunity for fame and treats.

Clifford overhears an alarming discussion between his human parents about financial troubles, mistakenly believing he is the cause. Determined to help, he resolves to join the Amazing Animals, thereby bringing Cleo and T-Bone along, promising to return to Emily-Elizabeth later.
