Deepak Singh is a former Indian Army driver who now runs a garment store in a village in Rajasthan. He lives with his wife Rakhi and their daughter Mahi, and they are trapped by poverty and limited opportunities. His sense of duty and hope for a better future drives him to seek a way to secure his family's future.

With debts mounting from the store and no local prospects, Deepak decides to go to Mumbai in search of help. He believes that finding Omkar, the only lead he has, could unlock money to repay the loan. Rakhi and Mahi brace for a difficult journey with uncertain outcomes.

Deepak arrives in the sprawling city of Mumbai with little more than Omkar's address. He has no network or stable contacts to fall back on, making every step a risk. The city’s scale and indifference amplify the family's desperation.

Two conmen approach Deepak with a dream flat for a mere Rs 10,000. They vanish with the money, leaving Deepak and Rakhi frustrated and poorer. The police refuse to file an FIR due to lack of evidence, deepening their vulnerability.

Rakhi meets an escort who offers temporary housing in a building that becomes their shelter. She is pressured to work as a bar dancer while Deepak searches for a job. The arrangement provides immediate shelter but threatens the family’s dignity and safety.

Deepak lands a job as a driver for a privately owned security bureau. He earns about Rs 15,000 per month, giving the family a foothold in the city. This employment also exposes him to a network that will pull him into trouble.

Vishnu, Deepak's senior colleague, realizes his gullible nature and begins manipulating him. He explains a plan to loot a parcel being transported by the agency to gain quick money. Deepak opposes the theft but the pressure of debt and vulnerability makes him reconsider.

Vishnu reveals that he hid a box he previously stole in Deepak's house. He blackmails Deepak into stealing the keys for that box to secure the loot. The threat to Deepak’s family and reputation pushes him to accept the dangerous plan.

The raid to steal the keys goes wrong and turns violent. Vishnu is attacked and killed during the robbery. Deepak is left entangled in a criminal scheme that could destroy his family.

Rakhi loses her job, aggravating the family's finances. Deepak discovers that the box Vishnu had stolen is now in his own house. He starts planning to ensure Rakhi and Mahi can return to their village.

Deepak crafts a cunning plan to pass on the imprint of the key to Rakhi. This allows Rakhi and Mahi to travel back to their village with some hope. Deepak’s actions reflect his final effort to protect his family.

In a final attempt to recover the loot, Deepak loses his life. His sacrifice ensures his family can escape the danger by carrying on with his plan. The imprint on Rakhi’s hand or memory of the key serves as a legacy.

Rakhi and Mahi return to their village carrying Deepak's memory and the promise of his past. They are scarred by the tragedy but safe, with the family’s hope rekindled by memories. The village welcomes them back, marking the end of their Mumbai ordeal.
