Pyaare Miyan's plan to win the bride begins with sending Aslam and Shaida to Bano's house to negotiate. Bano's father asks for time to consider the proposal, delaying the match. The scene shows how families maneuver within social rules to secure an alliance.

Pyaare Miyan's mother hopes he will marry Imam's daughter, not realizing that Imam's daughter is Jameela.
