Balaraju is a funeral vehicle driver in Vizag who lives with his mother Gangamma and a bedridden father. He keeps the family afloat with quiet devotion and takes pride in his work. This steady life becomes the backdrop for the emotional journey that follows.

One day he is called to transport Peter's body to the cemetery. At Peter's house he meets Mallika and learns that Peter was Mallika's husband. The chance encounter plants the seed of a new attraction in Balaraju.

Balaraju decides to pursue Mallika and win her love. He makes efforts to help her move on and consider a future with him. This creates tension with Mallika's father-in-law, Sekhar Samuel, who disapproves of the budding romance.

Balaraju discovers that his mother, Gangamma, is having an affair with Mohan, a man who has long loved her but was never accepted. The revelation strains the family, forcing Balaraju to confront his own loyalties. Gangamma remains torn between the past and the possibility of companionship.

After a heated altercation with Mohan, Balaraju begins to understand his mother's longing for affection since her husband is bedridden. He starts to see his mother as a person with needs, not just as a parental figure, and rethinks his priorities. This shifts the dynamics at home.

Mallika receives a marriage proposal from another man, putting her future in question. She tells Balaraju that she may have to marry someone else, creating emotional urgency. This twists the plan and tests their commitment.

Mallika finds Balaraju at the hospital, and simultaneously Gangamma is admitted after an accident. Gangamma dies from heavy blood loss, leaving Balaraju devastated and broken. The family is further destabilized as the loss deepens his depression.

Mohan steps up to take care of Balaraju and his bedridden father, showing that his love for Gangamma lives on in supportive action. Balaraju, in turn, begins to find purpose again by helping at his mother's corn stand on the beach. The two men quietly redefine their roles in the family.

Before Mallika's wedding, Balaraju seeks out Sekhar to confess his love and request his blessing. Sekhar realizes the depth of Balaraju's feelings and agrees to reconsider Mallika's marriage. This changes the course of the impending ceremony.

During the wedding, Sekhar intervenes, stopping the arranged marriage and arranging for Balaraju to marry Mallika instead. The couple finally ties the knot, facing the future together with renewed commitment. The family begins to heal as love prevails.
