Amarnath and his college friends organize a reunion after years, gathering the old circle together. Vijay lives with his wife Chitra and their son, acting as the bridge between past and present. The invitation signals the start of a cascade of emotional entanglements that will drive the plot.

During the reunion, Vijay is drawn to Kaveri, the daughter of Vishwanath. Kaveri is distant and unresponsive toward him, setting a barrier to their romance. Their wary dynamic establishes the central love conflict of the story.

In a drag racing event, Vijay risks himself to rescue Nisha from a rival gang. The act leaves Nisha grateful and secretly smitten with him. Vijay, however, treats the moment as a friendship, not a romance.
